
Mission
The Ning Zhou Museum of Photography (NZMOP) seeks to inspire appreciation, enjoyment and understanding of the history of photography by collecting, conserving and exhibiting cameras and related equipment as well as vintage and contemporary photographs by recognized masters of the medium. To fulfill this mission, NZMOP continues to build its collections through purchase and gifts, and develops programs of exhibitions, scholarly research, events and public education that engage its diverse local and international audience. All of these activities are enhanced by the museum's handsome architecture and photogenic setting in Aliso Viejo, CA.
Hundreds of cameras trace the development of film photography

Collections
NZMOP has an extraordinary collection of 700 antique cameras and related equipment tracing the history of film photography from its inception to the present on permanent exhibition. In addition, on permanent exhibit is am impressive collection of vintage photography which includes iconic black and white original works by such great photographers as Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, Arnold Newman, etc. Another exciting collection is comprised of more recent color photography.
